Satellite image of the Yongbyon facility in North Korea captured by DigitalGlobe's QuickBird satellite on March 2, 2002. South Korea voiced deep concern on December 25, 2002 over North Korea's nuclear brinkmanship after its communist neighbour moved fresh fuel to a reactor capable of producing plutonium for nuclear weapons. President Kim Dae-jung, quoted by his office, told a meeting of his national security council that the South must work with the United States and Japan to 'stop the situation from worsening and bringing crisis to the Korean peninsula.'
